Custom Paper Sizes and Printing Precision Using the Print Drivers
If your company purchases lots of paper products, you may want to think about printing your logo on custom-designed paper. Standard – The default setting is what your printer will use when you create a custom paper size. It is usually set to the size you were originally going to use. Open the document you wish to print. This is the only section of your paper settings that you will need to make changes to. The rest is usually controlled by the printer’s software. Once your custom paper settings have been saved, the page feeder software will load the new settings for your paper.
To go back to your normal paper settings, if you prefer to use your custom paper settings instead, select “back” during the printing process. Some printers don’t automatically load pre-registered or customized paper after they’ve been saved. These printers will require you to load them manually. Again, if you don’t wish to reload the software of the printer, save your custom paper or pre-registered print and then restart the printer. The printer should now load your custom paper or pre-registered paper settings.
You can decide to use your regular paper settings over your custom paper settings by clicking the “custom” button located on the main page of your printer’s website. Follow the instructions on the help manual of your printer to choose “custom” as the primary printing option. Your printer’s settings will vary depending on its model. For instance, certain models will load your customized settings once the printer has been started, whereas other models will load right after the printer has been turned on. Depending on the model of your printer, certain printers won’t load your settings until you select the “load custom settings”.
Printing custom paper dimensions is an easy task provided you have the right software.
